SAFARIS IN EGYPT Egypt is a country made up of mostly desert. Only 5% of its surface area is cultivated; the other 95% are desert. This large desert surface area offers an incomparable variety, starting from the North of Sinai, where you can see the desert’s most wonderful natural aspects; in the South of Sinai, where you can see how the soft desert mixes with rocky mountains of different heights. This panorama continues until the Sinai Mountain.
On the African coast of Egypt, you will find the Eastern Desert, where you can see how it presents various aspects of the desert; its maximum softness in the Suez zone and its maximum aggressiveness at the border of Sudan in the South.
Finally, it finishes with pure desert: The extension of the famous Sahara, which is called the Western Desert.
All of these different deserts offer various types of safaris which are suitable to all tastes, and at the same time, adapt to the different necessities of the traveler.
For the adventurous, the safari that really suits them is the pure and hard desert found in the Western Desert. In the deep desert, past the Great Sea of Sand, they can find the most exciting aspects of the safari by feeling that the era of exploration has not yet finished. Walking towards the interior of the desert in order to see an old fortress is one of the few treks that make an adventurer enjoy the feeling that the last man to visit the place was there a long time ago.
