The Goddess Hathor was considered the protector of music, dance and love. In the Egyptian history, Hathor is very close to Isis, the most venerated goddess. She is represented as a woman or a cow with a horned solar disk. In the old kingdom, pharaohs were often depicted with Hathor at their side. Hathor was also the goddess of beauty and patron of the cosmetic arts, as well as the patron of dancers and was associated with percussive music.
