Sobek was the God of Crocodiles, Power, Protection and Fertility.

He created the Nile and was the symbolic strength of the ruler of Egypt.

Depicted either as a crocodile-headed man or as a full crocodile, Sobek was shown with a horned sun disk on his head, carrying a scepter and the sign of life in his hands.

Sobek was the god of the Nile (which was believed to have come from his sweat), who gave life to vegetation and fertility to the land. He was also considered the deification of crocodiles, and as a crocodile he was both feared and respected by the ancient Egyptians.
