Isis was called ?The mother of the Gods? and was without doubt the most popular goddess of Egypt. Isis was the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus. She was considered a model for wives and mothers. Isis gave rebirth to her husband?s dead body with her magical power and procreated with him Horus, who protected her from the assault of his uncle Seth. Isis, like the goddess Hathor, was often represented with human features and a solar disk between horns on her head.
